The classic hanseboot hall fair has ended
The international hanseboot boat show was held for the last time as a Hamburg hall fair in 2017. Travellers should therefore not treat “hanseboot Hamburg” as a current annual event at Messeplatz.
Why did it end?
The organiser responded to declining exhibitor and visitor numbers and ended the traditional hall format. The final edition ran from 28 October to 5 November 2017. Later watersports events are separate formats and should not be confused with the former hanseboot.
For current boat and watersports events
Check the current event name, venue and entrance directly with the organiser. In Hamburg, relevant events may take place at the exhibition grounds, in the harbour or at other locations, so an old hanseboot address is not a reliable destination.

Use the current event name and full address. For airport pickup, provide the flight number and choose a vehicle with enough room for all passengers, luggage and any larger equipment.
