Slot&Fly is a free separate boarding-pass entry lane at Hamburg Airport. A reserved window can make the journey more predictable, but it does not replace check-in or the security screening itself. Arriving at the correct entrance on time is essential.
Booking the window
Current terms allow booking from 72 hours until one hour before the scheduled departure. The entry window lasts 15 minutes. Names entered in the reservation must match the boarding passes. Keep the confirmation and boarding pass accessible.
Where do you enter?
The marked Slot&Fly entrance is at Terminal 1. Follow current signs at the airport. The reservation grants access to the dedicated entry lane, not a guaranteed journey time to the gate. If you miss the window, general entry remains an option under its usual rules.
Plan check-in and transport
Work backwards from your slot. Travel to the airport, unloading, bag drop and the walk to the entry point all take time. For a prebooked transfer, leave enough slack that a minor traffic delay does not immediately cost you the slot. Your airline's arrival guidance still applies.
Check special cases
The booking site directs families with small children and people with certain mobility aids to dedicated family or PRM access. Review those instructions for your party. Technical issues and operational changes can affect the service; follow on-site staff guidance.
